Cynthia grew up in India she has an identical twin sister Cecilia and two brothers Mum married our Father Edward Booth they had to leave India during the late 1949's they had their first child Errol in November 1948 they arrived in Essex and set up home they had another 6 children, before sadly Edward died on 29th August 1958 leaving Cynthia to bring up her 7 children alone, times were very hard in those days, but she remained strong and supportive to her children becoming not only mother but also father to her children. Mum meet and married Andrew Armstrong in March 1963 Andrew became our wonderful stepfather who loved us all Mum and Andrew were a very happy couple together for 48 years but sadly Andrew was diagnosed with Alzimers in 2009 and had to go into a nursing home as Mum was unable to care for him as our youngest brother has learning disabilities and needed extra support throughout his growing up and through his adulthood which Mum and Andrew coped with with love and tenderness towards his special needs, as I now do since Mums death, I cant explain the sense of loss I feel since she has died but I know everybody feels the same when losing someone you love so dearly, sadly my neice and sister died several years ago and Mum was such a support to me even thou she was also suffering the loss of a grandaughter and daughter, Andrew is still alive and is still in the nursing home we visit him weekly but sadly he does not remember who we are, Mum was a great lady who loved all her children granchildren and great granchildren we all miss her very much as this first year of her death reaches us.
